Easter in Paraty

Holy Week is a mobile holiday that begins on Thursday after Trinity Sunday, which, in turn, falls on Sunday after Pentecost, so the date changes every year.

 

This is a traditionally Catholic city, the celebration of Easter traditions kept dating from the XVII century. You can watch the Biblical scenes made with sawdust and grains, the liturgies and the traditional music.
